Holy smokes!!! This year is moving along quite swiftly. Can you believe it’s already April?! I know…I can hardly believe it myself. This year, I am bringing a lot of new content to my readers from style tips and blogger collaborations to recipes and monthly editor’s note. So if you are into all of that plus more,  KeepinupwithKD is definitely a blog that you should keep on your radar! 😉

If you are a subscriber or a frequent reader to my blog, you have to know that I am a lover of all things fashion. One of the newest fashion themed posts that I am really excited to share is a style collaboration with another fellow blogger. Once a month, my college friend and fellow fashionista Emma of House of Odara and I will bring a post to the series called 2-Ways.  We will each style one piece in a different way.

This month’s signature piece is the contemporary paneled crepe white skirt here from Forever 21 and at a cost of only $20 – it’s fashionable and affordable! (As a bargain shopper that is a major score).  In this series, we ALWAYS want to highlight a piece of clothing that is the perfect balance of chic and reasonable.  We both came to the conclusion that this white skirt was the ideal piece.

While House of Odara chose to go girly-chic, I opted for an edgier look. The minimal moto faux leather jacket gave me just enough biker jacket street cred and edge to pair over the futuristic sleeveless  metallic crop top. Strappy heels, minimalistic silver jewelry, mirrored sunglasses and a dark lip completes the look with the details taking center stage.

How would you have styled this skirt? Let me know in the comments below.

Stay tuned for next month’s 2 Ways! Be sure to check out how my college friend, Emma styled this piece on her website – www.houseofodara.com.
