Sheesh! It’s May already, and time slipped away from me so fast with my April’s editor’s note. As you can see from the title, it’s all about beginning new journeys. I’m excited yet a little nervous for this, but mostly excited! Now for the news…my husband accepted a promotion with his job which required us to move back down south. We are both born and bred southerners, and we have been away from home since college graduation in 2011 and 2012. For those who did not know, my husband accepted a career opportunity with Johnson & Johnson before graduating from college in Information Technology (Talk about one smart cookie). Fast forward almost five years later, he’s been promoted three times. By the same token, we’ve moved five times including this one. Along the way, we’ve met some pretty amazing people and have made tons of memories and bonds that will last a lifetime.
As we both move onto this next chapter, I am reminded of a quote by John C. Maxwell, “Change is inevitable, growth is optional.” While we may not be able to control change, we have the power to grow. Although I don’t know what this new phase in our lives may hold, I do know growth means change and change involves risks – stepping from the known into the unknown. So cheers to looking ahead and to new beginnings!
But here are some of my favorite memories below. Enjoy the pics guys!
