“Summer summer summertime, time to sit back and unwind.” As I sit here humming the tune to DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, I can’t help but think that we are in one of the hottest months of the summer and halfway through this year! Can you believe it?!? It literally flew by so fast. However, I am taking every opportunity to soak up the sun rays every chance I get. It’s not very hard to do that since I am a resident of Florida now. You know it is the state of endless summer?
Since I haven’t done a fashion post in a while, I figured today would be perfect plus the weekend gives me a chance to explore and get acquainted with all of what the “Sunshine State” has to offer. Today, we wandered upon the gorgeous campus of The University of Tampa. Located downtown, UT is nestled in a picturesque downtown riverfront. So, I took full advantage of the scene and had my very own photo shoot there!
If you’re wondering where the title of the post comes into play, here’s the lowdown behind it. The first half “Summer” is for obvious reasons…hahaha! And, I decided on “Blues” because I also wanted to highlight this thrifted skirt I’m wearing. Yeah, the skirt is from a thrift shop! As I said in a previous post, I love to come across a unique item(s) while thrifting, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to not add this blue skirt to my wardrobe. Paired with a simple white tee, pink flats, and mix of gold and silver jewelry including the letter cuffs from Women Warriors by Stella Valle, it was the perfect look for this summer day!
