Feast Restaurant Spotlight


I really admire “one stop shops”! Just in case you’re wondering what I mean by that, it’s finding tons of goodies in one place! The great thing about this is…you’ve guessed it, CONVENIENCE. We all have busy schedules and with everything we need at a single location is such the lifesaver! Locale Market is indeed that place if you’re ever in the St. Petersburg, Florida area.

Locale Market and FarmTable Kitchen is a rare curated culinary experience nestled in the northwest corner of the Sundial Plaza in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. Designed for you by chefs Michael Mina and Don Pintabona, Locale offers hand-selected world-class products from their favorite farmers and producers. From the grocery market to FarmTable Kitchen, my husband and I were able to get a personal tour from General Manager, Mordechai Baron. Baron who has years of  extensive experience in operations management and hospitality is indeed the man for the job. His passion and communication skills in delivering qualitative client management and interfacing with guests provide customers and staff with the highest level of service.

We started the tour at the market which consists of a culinary dream for food connoisseurs that range from juicy burgers hot off the grill to homemade ice cream, gelato, cupcakes, brownies, and every sweet treat in between. For bread lovers, the bakery is definitely the place for you. Here, you can treat yourself to fresh baked breads daily including baguette, brioche, ciabatta, focaccia, croissants, and tons more. Still looking for more? The cheese and charcuterie is a must try. It includes an array of meats, cheeseses, breads, and delectable spreads that meet the highest standards of quality, taste, craftsmanship, and innovation.

After the market, we made our way to the second floor where the Farmhouse Kitchen is located which totally looks Joanna Gaines inspired (cast member from my all-time fav HGTV show, Fixer Upper). For those who want to enjoy the culinary offerings of Locale Market in a restaurant setting, FarmTable Kitchen offers casual farm-to-table fare that combines the best of both Mina’s California sensibilities and Pintabona’s Italian flavors. With this experience also comes the Chef’s Table, an exclusive eight-course chef’s tasting for up to 10 guests in the intimate private dining room within FarmTable Kitchen. To accompany such great cuisine, there’s vast wine selections and locally brewed beers to choose from while in a warm setting designed to enhance the connection to local farmers and artisans.

Whether it’s fresh local produce (Florida Stone Crab currently in peak season) or the rarest specialty finds (cured meats and cheeses from Italy), you’ll find it at Locale Market where you can DISCOVER an array of favorite farmers offerings, DINE at the Farmhouse Kitchen and STRIKE up conversations all while eating, sharing great foods, and making life long memories.
